I have been a freelance photographer for 35 years. Looking back today, I am sometimes amazed at how quickly time has passed. Three decades full of pictures, encounters, projects—and above all, people.

Photography has never been just a job for me. It has always been a passion, a way of life, an expression of curiosity. I love capturing moments, capturing moods, and making stories visible. But over the years, I have realized that the best thing about my work is not the photos themselves, but the people behind them.

Whether in the studio, on location, or on large productions, I enjoy it most when a genuine collaboration develops. When the model, client, makeup artist, and assistant work together on an idea, inspire each other, and everyone contributes to creating something special. This connection, this trust, and the shared energy—that is the core of my work.

A good photo is not only created by technology or lighting, but by relationships. By a sense of mutual understanding. When someone feels comfortable in front of the camera and there is genuine trust, something real and unpretentious emerges—and that is exactly what brings a picture to life.

             

After so many years, a lot has changed, of course. Technology, trends, image styles. But my motivation has remained the same.

My conclusion after all these years:

I have known for a long time that it is not the cameras or the location that are most important, but the people I work with. The joy of creating something together, the trust and the atmosphere on set – that’s what counts.

For me, photography is teamwork, communication, and relationship. And that’s exactly what I love – yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
